Introduction
Complete your Safer Together Industry Safety Induction (ISI) with Harness in Roma. ISI is the one-day, standardised induction for people starting work in the Australian Energy Production Industry, and it’s a requirement before you go to site.
Harness delivers ISI in Roma, with dates released regularly.
- We’ve spent 20 years training people who work in Australia’s highest-risk industries, so the course is delivered by trainers who have worked in the sector, not just taught it.
- You’ll cover the hazards you’ll meet on site, the risk-management tools the industry uses, what’s expected of you, and how to speak up in a safety conversation.
- ISI is one day. If your people need more — gas testing, confined space, working at heights, first aid — we can cover that too, through one provider.

The Industry Safety Induction (ISI) is a one-day, standardised safety induction developed by Safer Together. It establishes a consistent foundation of safety knowledge and expected safe-working behaviours for people entering the Australian Energy Production Industry.
It helps New Starts understand the industry they’re entering, the hazards and risks they may encounter, their responsibilities and, importantly, the behaviours expected of them to help keep themselves and the people around them safe.
ISI reached its tenth anniversary in July 2026. From August 2026 the course also covers the fundamentals of Assist & Assure Frontline Awareness Training, so New Starts learn the foundations of safe systems of work and how to identify and manage risk before a task begins. That prepares them to take part properly in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and everyday safety conversations.
Safer Together’s Industry Safety Induction (ISI) is designed for New Starts. A New Start is anyone who has not worked in the Australian Energy Production Industry for at least 12 months in the last 2 years. All New Starts must satisfactorily complete ISI before working on the development or operation of onshore or offshore facilities.
If you’ve worked in the Australian Energy Production Industry for more than 12 months in the last 2 years, you can complete an Experienced Worker Declaration Form as evidence that you’re not required to complete ISI before starting work.
This page shows Safer Together member pricing. Members pay a reduced rate for ISI. If your organisation isn’t a Safer Together member, book through the Roma non-member listing. If you’re not sure, check with your employer or mobilisation contact.
