Frequently Asked Questions
Anyone who works at height and may need to respond to an emergency response scenario. This is particularly relevant if you are remote and emergency services are not readily available. Heights Rescue Training would be valuable for clients and personnel in industries such as energy, renewables, electricity, mining, oil, gas, and construction. Unfortunately, incidents at height continue to happen and therefore the need to respond and assist in an emergency situation do too.
This Heights Rescue Training Course has broader application than the Vertical Rescue Training Course. Vertical rescues involve more complex rescue situations such as cliffs and challenging natural structures, whereas this Heights Rescue Course is more focused on structures such as towers and ladders.
This is a specialist skill set and the fundamental rescue procedures are taught during this Heights Rescue Course. It is not advised to undertake heights rescues without this kind of training as a minimum because of the specialist equipment and teamwork involved.
These prerequisites ensure you have the foundational knowledge required to safely perform advanced rescue manoeuvres. This course builds directly upon the skills covered in those certifications.
While the training provides an opportunity to refresh your knowledge, it is not designed to re-teach the basics of CPR or height safety. Instead, our focus is on the advanced application of these fundamental skills during high-pressure, real-life emergencies. By requiring these certifications upfront, we can dedicate the session to complex rescue techniques rather than basic instruction.
