Low-Voltage Rescue Training

In principle – if you meet all the requirements for the LVR training, you can just undertake the LVR component. However, you should note that the currency of the LVR and CPR course is 12 months. If you have a valid Perform CPR training certification from a few months ago, you may need to do your CPR course again before your LVR runs out. 

The LVR CPR course will cover the necessary first aid training to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation on an injured or unconscious casualty who may require rescue from a live LV panel. In addition to your low-voltage rescue kit, performing low-voltage rescue CPR is an important skill to possess.

DRSABCD is an acronym that represents the key steps to follow during an emergency response to ensure safety and effectiveness. It is an important part of first aid training and stands for Danger, Response, Send for Help, Airway, Breathing, CPR, and Defibrillation. During our LVR CPR training, you will learn the details of each component and how to apply these first-aid protocols to your work environment.

CPR Training is a prerequisite for LVR Training and is an annual requirement. The CPR training is a crucial part of your first aid knowledge and encompasses the responsibilities you require to perform low-voltage rescue CPR in an emergency situation.

These kits are crucial if you are required to perform a rescue from a live LV panel and are specifically tailored to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Whether in industrial settings, commercial facilities, or even educational institutions, a Low-Voltage Rescue Kit is a critical component of any comprehensive safety plan.

Yes, this LVR training course teaches a number of practical training processes that are crucial in LV panel rescue procedures and first aid delivery. The nationally recognised LVR CPR course covers a basic introduction on how to deal with an unconscious casualty, how to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, how to formulate a DRSABCD plan, and how to use personal safety equipment and rescue equipment. Additionally, the low-voltage rescue course covers risk management processes, safety practices, and low-voltage rescue procedures. Once you successfully complete this course, you should have the real-life practical skills to implement risk management processes and perform low-voltage rescue CPR in emergency situations.

No other first aid courses are required to participate in the LVR certificate. The only prerequisite is the HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course, which must be completed annually. The UETDRRF004 – Perform Rescue From a Live LV Panel is a nationally recognised course that covers the first aid principles that other first aid courses detail. As part of this course, first aid is taught for situations involving accidental electrocution. This course specifies the mandatory requirements for performing first aid in the context of transmission, distribution, or rail work functions.

While this nationally recognised course excludes overhead lines and underground cables, it is relevant to work conducted within proximity to electrical panels. It is present in industries including electrical trade, construction, and distribution, transmission & rail work functions.
