Frequently Asked Questions
Chief Warden training is the uppermost of the warden training courses with Fire warden/Warden as the starting point. In an emergency, the Chief Warden is in charge of making decisions so occupants in a facility can safely exit an emergency. As an emergency decision maker this includes following all emergency procedures including Emergency Services notifications.
The Chief Warden Training course differs from Fire Warden in that it is focused on the managing and leading an emergency control organisation instead of the warden doing. It carries more responsibility and involves potentially liaising with emergency services personnel.
