This 3 day training program using the DrillSIM:5000 Cyber Chair provides participants with the theory, skills and practical experience to operate a cyber chair for drilling operations. The course is designed for those seeking to familiarise themselves with cyber chair drilling technology in a variety of job roles from Rig superintendents or supervisors, drilling engineers, drillers and management wanting to understand cyber rig operations more deeply.

During the course you will learn to trouble shoot errors and gain insights in how the joy stick use impacts pressure change. This is a familiarisation focused course not a skills optimisation but is highly relevant to the modern cyber rigs.

The content covered during the Casing Design & Cementing training includes:

  • Casing terms and functions of casing
  • Properties of casing wellheads and casing hangers
  • Casing running operations with step by step programmes
  • Casing design with considerations of the description and calculation of internal and external loads and tensile loads
  • Component parts of a casing string
  • Properties of casing
  • API specifications, standards and bulletins
  • Wellheads and casing hangers
  • Rig-site operations
  • Casing design
  • Oil well cements
  • Properties of cement
