Training Prerequisites

Training Prerequisites

Front End Loader Operations which covers conducting wheeled front end loader operations in the civil construction industry.

It includes:

  • planning and preparing;
  • conducting machine pre-operational checks;
  • operation of front end loaders including mixing materials,
  • stripping/spreading topsoil and materials, loading, cutting/boxing, backfilling;
  • attaching, securing, lifting, carrying and placing materials;
  • selecting, removing and fitting attachments;
  • relocating the front end loader;
  • carrying out machine operator maintenance;
  • cleaning up.

Upon successful completion of this course, a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the following unit of competency will be issued:

NOTE: Statement of Attainment will be issued by Competency Training Pty Ltd (RTO 31299)

Course Prerequisites

This course is suitable for those who wish to operate a wheeled front end loader within the Resources, Construction and Infrastructure industries.

There are no entry requirements for this course.

A basic to moderate English language, literacy and numeracy skill level is required.

All participants are required to wear the following minimum PPE to enter our facilities:

  • Fully enclosed shoes (steel-capped boots preferred)
  • Long-sleeve shirt with high visibility
  • Long work pants

Additional PPE may be required depending on the course requirements.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – RPL may be available for candidates with previous industry experience.
