Fatigue Management Training – Level 1 and 2 combined – delivered online involves:

Drivers Level 1 is designed for you if you undertake operations that fall within the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) fatigue management module.

Supervisors Level 2 takes your initial fatigue management knowledge and extends this to include trip planning and updating records, developing and implementing policies and relevant procedures and strategies to minimise fatigue and associated risks. 

This course supports the Advanced Fatigue Risk Management schemes required for Heavy Vehicles under the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS). Employers have a duty of care towards all employees and, for relevant industries and roles, this training forms part of the overarching WHS responsibilities.

Fatigue Management course is Drivers Level 1 (Apply a Fatigue Risk Management System – TLIF0005) is designed for those at risk of commercial vehicle driver fatigue and provides the knowledge to ensure compliance of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) legislative requirement.  

Supervisors Level 2 (Administer a Fatigue Risk Management System – TLIF0006) which is the advanced fatigue management training program for transport industry

If you successfully complete this course, you will receive a certificate which indicates the Statement of Attainments as recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This is a nationally recognised certification. The Statement is issued by us, Harness Energy (RTO 40521).

The Fatigue Management combined course ‘Statement of attainment’ is for the Nationally Accredited Units of Competency:

  • TLIF0006 – Administer a Fatigue Risk Management System
  • TLIF0005 – Apply a Fatigue Risk Management System

The Certificate is usually needed as evidence for your employer for safety and compliance requirements.

This course is designed to support compliance with the primary legislative requirement of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL). Although the applicable vehicle minimum for commercial vehicle driver fatigue training is 4.5 tonnes, fatigue extends to other commercial vehicles as well making this fatigue management training relevant from a broader work health and safety (WHS) perspective. This training is one of the necessary components to obtain the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Fatigue Management Accreditation.
